I got quite bored of my sporadic monthly music recaps, so I’m not doing an indepth recap for 2025. Instead, here’s a summary image for you to enjoy.
Looking For Tracy Tzu by Carpenter Brut creeps into the top ten songs every year because the Apple Music shuffle function really likes that song. I wonder if it has tricked itself into thinking I really like that song because it gets played so much, causing it to play the song more and starting a never ending cycle.
Nine Inch Nails are high on the top artist’s every year and I don’t know if that’s ever going to change. Perturbator has also been a regular. Despite listening to new music fairly regularly, I am a creature of habit.
I only listened to the Clair Obscur soundtrack once, but it’s a very long album so it has come in at number 3 on the top albums.
And finally… when I looked at my December 2025 music recap it didn’t have any of the Christmas songs I listened to multiple times over Christmas, so I have grown very suspicious of Apple Music’s tracking.
